Melinda Griffin
MTSS Trainer
Melinda Griffin, Ph.D., works on research, evaluation, and TA projects with a primary focus on K-16 mathematics instruction and teacher development. She draws upon her prior experience as a teacher, instructional coach, and Statewide Mathematics Content Specialist for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in her work with the Rhode Island Intensive Mathematics Project. In this role, she supports schools and districts as they improve mathematics instruction for students with or at risk for learning disabilities, as well as establishes and convenes a statewide professional community of practice focused on informing administrators to support high quality mathematics instruction across all tiers. Dr. Griffin also works with high school mathematics teachers throughout New England in the Better Math Teaching Network and with the Florida Network for School Improvement to promote access and equity for all students in high school mathematics.
