Zach Weingarten, Ed.D., provides TA to states, districts, and schools in the areas of MTSS and intensive intervention for students with disabilities and other students with severe and persistent learning and behavior needs. Currently, he serves as Project Director for the Delaware Early Literacy Initiative. In this role he coordinates the delivery of training and coaching for elementary and preschool teachers focused on improving the implementation of evidence-based early literacy practices within MTSS. Weingarten also develops TA products, including training modules and practice guides, and supports formative evaluation for the National Center on Intensive Intervention. Additionally, Weingarten leads the production of the Office of Special Education Program’s Virtual Symposia Series, which focuses on sharing evidence-based strategies for improving the performance of special education programs.
