Amy Peterson

Amy Peterson, M.Ed., has more than thirteen years of experience conducting public policy and education research, communications, and professional development to support schools, districts and states in defining and refining their MTSS frameworks, implementing evidence-based practices, using data, and engaging stakeholders. She has supported MTSS efforts at AIR since 2010 and currently leads teams for the National Center on Intensive Intervention, PROGRESS Center, and National Center for Systemic Improvement. She has also worked with states to support their use of data collected within their MTSS model to support specific learning disability identification and IEP goal setting. Peterson has worked across grade levels supporting early childhood efforts while at the National Association for the Education of Young Children and through early warning system implementation and dropout prevention efforts at AIR.
