Amy Peterson

Amy Peterson, MA, has more than fifteen years of experience conducting public policy and education research, communications, and professional development. She supports schools, districts and states in defining and refining their MTSS frameworks, implementing evidence-based practices, using data, and engaging key personnel. She has supported MTSS efforts at AIR since 2010 and currently leads teams for the National Center on Intensive Intervention, PROGRESS Center, and National Center for Systemic Improvement. In particular, she has supported states, districts, and schools with data-based decision making as it relates to specific learning disability identification, IEP goal setting, and to evaluate their MTSS implementation. She has worked across grade levels supporting early childhood efforts while at the National Association for the Education of Young Children and early warning system implementation and dropout prevention efforts while at AIR.
