Erin Clancy

Erin Clancy, PhD, is consultant for the MTSS Center, where she provides technical assistance to state and district leaders, as well as school-based staff. Her interests include enhancing universal support and services and tiered interventions, coaching districts and service providers, and supporting an equitable education system that recognizes and responds to individual needs. Previously, she was a teacher, adjunct professor, instructional coach, and state-level technical assistant and has experience working with students in charter and public school settings as well as alternative settings like hospitals and juvenile justice centers. She is the author of practitioner-focused articles including the Intervention in School and Clinic Special Series: Co-Taught Classrooms & Reading Comprehension. Erin holds a PhD in Special Education from the University of Maryland, with a focus on instruction for SWDs in secondary settings
