Brittany Sterrett

Brittany Sterrett, PhD, provides technical assistance for the MTSS Center. She has worked with various states and localities to build their capacity for effective MTSS implementation throughout her career. For over a decade, Dr. Sterrett’s professional and research interests have centered on adapting evidence-based practices across tiers to address students’ academic, behavior, and social needs. She is passionate about meeting schools and teachers where they are to provide high-quality professional learning and support. Prior to joining the MTSS Center, she was a scholar for the National Center for Leadership in Intensive Intervention and a special education teacher in Virginia. Dr. Sterrett earned her Ph.D. and M.Ed. in special education at Virginia Commonwealth University and a B.A in political science from Virginia Tech.
