Brittany Sterrett
MTSS Trainer
Brittany Sterrett, Ph.D., is a research analyst at AIR who provides technical assistance, professional development, and research supports to various states and school districts in the areas of MTSS and special education best practices. Dr. Sterrett’s professional and research interests include MTSS, intensive interventions, adaptation of evidence-based practices to address students’ academic, behavior, and social needs, and professional development to support teachers with these processes. Prior to joining AIR, she was a National Center for Leadership in Intensive Interventions scholar and special education teacher in Virginia. Dr. Sterrett earned her Ph.D. and M.Ed. in special education at Virginia Commonwealth University and a B.A in political science from Virginia Tech.
