Jason Harlacher

Jason Harlacher, PhD, is the Director of the MTSS Center, where he oversees the vision and operation of the Center, as well as providing consultation and technical assistance to state and district leaders on MTSS. He is also the co-director for the Wyoming MTSS Center and provides technical assistance (TA) with the National Center for Intensive Intervention. He has extensive expertise in classroom management, data-based decision making, intensive intervention, positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS), and social and emotional learning. For over two decades, he has worked directly with educators and district leaders to implement MTSS in a practical and manageable way. Previously, he has worked as a school psychologist, district-level coach, adjunct professor, and state-level TA provider. He is an award-winning author, having most recently co-authored Bolstering Student Resilience, Effective Bullying Prevention: A Comprehensive Schoolwide Approach, and Untangling Data-Based Decision Making: A Problem-Solving Model to Enhance MTSS. He earned his PhD in school psychology from the University of Oregon.
