Shirley Carlson, MA, PMP, is a trainer and technical assistance provider through the MTSS Center.  She also serves as the project director for multiple projects supporting districts in varying stages of implementation of MTSS.  She has extensive experience in the development of teaming structures, screening processes, data-based decision-making, and tiered interventions.  She has over 40 years of experience in education, with more than 10 of those years providing training and coaching to school and district teams in the development and implementation of MTSS.  Previously, Carlson has worked as an educator, regional trainer and coach, university instructor, and district and school TA provider.  She earned her MA in Education from Aurora University.
