Cory Stai

Cory Stai, MEd, leverages over 25 years of teaching and leadership experience to provide subject matter expertise and technical assistance to state agencies and school districts focused on evidence-based instruction and policies for literacy, standards-based education, MTSS/RTI, assessment, and continuous improvement. Cory has served as a middle school English language arts teacher and a K-12 reading interventionist, an adjunct professor and course developer for pre-service education programs, a state literacy specialist, and a board member for several non-profit literacy organizations. He has several publications, including most recently chapters and reports on public policies for literacy (Handbook of Research on Reading Comprehension, chapter 28, 2017); Region 1 Literacy Scan, 2019-2022, 2023) and dyslexia (white paper, 2020; screening for multilingual and bidialectal learners: Massachusetts Dyslexia Guidelines, chapter 9, 2023). Cory holds a masters in literacy education from the University of Minnesota.
