Jon Potter

Jon Potter, PhD, provides consultation and technical assistance to state departments, regional support networks, and school districts on the implementation of MTSS. He has extensive experience in data-based decision making, problem-solving, intensive intervention, and early literacy instruction and assessment. He specifically focuses on training district and school teams on data-based decision making systems that can match the instruction, curriculum, and the environmental supports to the needs of all students. With over 20 years of educational experience, he has worked with district and school leadership teams to ensure MTSS supports the needs of all students. He has worked as a school psychologist, an adjunct professor, and a state-level RTI/MTSS Implementation Coach in early literacy. He has recently co-authored the book Untangling Data-Based Decision Making: A Problem-Solving Model to Enhance MTSS. He earned his PhD in school psychology from the University of Oregon.
