Kat Pfannenstiel

Kathleen L. Pfannenstiel, Ph.D., co-leads a project investigating middle school algebra readiness and supports states and districts in implementing MTSS through the National Center on Systemic Improvement with a particular focus on evidence-based practices and mathematics. Dr. Pfannenstiel has written Tier 2 interventions in mathematics, presents at national conferences, and has written numerous papers and book chapters on MTSS at the elementary and middle school level. Prior to her current work, she has taught undergraduate and graduate classes in special education, was an educational specialist in special education at a regional educational state center, project coordinator, and classroom special education teacher in elementary, middle, and high school.
