Senior MTSS Trainer
Sarah Benz, Ph.D., provides TA and professional development to states and school districts focused on implementing intensive intervention, dyslexia, and MTSS through the National Center on Intensive Intervention, the National Center on Systemic Improvement, and state projects in Texas and Utah. She also co-leads a research study focused on investigating middle school algebra readiness. Prior to joining AIR, Dr. Benz supported a research project where she collaborated with multiple elementary schools to implement MTSS for academics, behavior, and social/emotional learning. She is a former special education teacher (grades 5-8) and District Level Director of Special education.
