Dia Jackson, EdD, provides technical assistance and professional learning to states and school districts on MTSS and special education. Dr. Jackson specializes in research and professional learning with educators and leaders on ways to improve academic and social outcomes for students with disabilities. Dr. Jackson believes that ensuring all students have high quality differentiated core instruction is critical for building a strong MTSS, which she discusses in her post, How Can Teachers Improve Instruction for Students with Disabilities and for all Students at Tier 1? Previously, Dr. Jackson worked as a special education teacher, and led MTSS projects to increase educator and leader implementation fidelity across the country including in the US Virgin Islands, Arkansas, and New York City. Additionally, Dr. Jackson presents at national conferences and has published resources on effective MTSS implementation, including CEC/CEEDAR’s High-Leverage Practices for Special Educators. She earned her BA and MEd from the University of Virginia in Special Education and EdD from George Washington University in Special Education.
