Erin Clancy, PhD, provides technical assistance and consultation to state and district leaders as well as school-based staff for the MTSS Center. Her interests include enhancing universal support and services and tiered interventions, coaching districts and service providers, and supporting an education system that recognizes and responds to individual needs. Previously, she was a teacher, adjunct professor, instructional coach, and state-level technical assistant. She has experience working with students in charter and public school settings as well as alternative settings like hospitals and juvenile justice centers. She is the author of practitioner-focused articles including the Intervention in School and Clinic Special Series: Co-Taught Classrooms & Reading Comprehension. Erin holds a PhD in Special Education from the University of Maryland, with a focus on instruction for students with disabilities in secondary settings.
