Jason Harlacher
Director, MTSS Center
Jason Harlacher, PhD, is the Director of the MTSS Center, overseeing the vision and operation of the Center. He provides consultation and technical assistance to state and district leaders on MTSS. He has extensive expertise in classroom management, data-based decision making, intensive intervention, and positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS). For over two decades, he's worked directly with educators and district leaders to implement MTSS in a practical and manageable way. Previously, he worked as a school psychologist, district-level coach, adjunct professor, and state-level consultant. He is an award-winning author, having most recently authored MTSS Simplified: Five Principles to Support Implementation and Untangling Data-Based Decision Making: A Problem-Solving Model to Enhance MTSS. He earned his PhD in school psychology from the University of Oregon.
