Jenna Basile, PhD, provides technical assistance and consultation for the MTSS Center. She has extensive expertise in literacy, with a focus on developing, testing, and training education professionals in writing interventions for adolescents with and without disabilities. Dr. Basile is passionate about pre- and in-service professional learning for educators working to deliver interventions to students with and without disabilities. Prior to joining the MTSS Center, she was an Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) scholar and worked as a general and special education teacher in elementary and middle school settings in Virginia. Dr. Basile holds a BA in elementary education and human development from the University of Rhode Island, a MA in special education from George Mason University, and a PhD in research methods for special populations, also from George Mason University.
